Aged Care Quality Standards and Quality Review Processes

This workshop explores each of the eight standards and their component requirements. It identifies the policies and procedures aged care providers need to have in place to demonstrate compliance. It will also cover quality reviews and what further evidence quality reviewers are likely to seek from staff members and consumers to support providers’ compliance claims. Content will include suggested survey questions aligned with the standards for consumers about their experiences with the provider. Suitable for Managers and Coordinators.

Understanding and Implementing Wellness and Reablement for Coordinators and Managers

The workshop covers the theoretical underpinning and the practical application of reablement and wellness approaches with consumers in community care settings. A mixture of presentation, film, group activities and discussion is used to explore the process from initial engagement of the consumer in reablement and wellness discussion through to the design and implementation of a goal orientated support plan.
