HLTAID011 Provide First Aid

This course covers the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies. The unit applies to all persons who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings. The HLTAID011 Provide First Aid course is the NEW updated version of this course, replacing the superseded HLTAID003 Provide First Aid course. Statement of Attainment will be issued by Training Beyond 2000 RTO 90323.

- HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (formerly HLTAID001)

- HLTAID010 Provide basic emergency life support (formerly HLTAID002)

- HLTAID011 Provide First Aid (formerly HLTAID003)


Frequently asked questions

Q. I recently studied the course that is being phased out, do I need to re-do my course?

A. No. Recognition of the superseded course names and units will remain. The validity of your qualification will remain fully recognised for its full, intended duration, (until it expires, or you are required to take a refresher).

Q. Has there been a change in content with the change of units?

A. The content has not changed. The changes only relate to the delivery and assessment of the courses.

Sutherland Shire Loneliness Forum

Join Australian Loneliness expert Dr Michelle Lim from Ending Loneliness Together and former President of the Australian Psychological Society Ros Knight as they unpack loneliness and deliver a practical workshop enabling community services to tailor services to address loneliness in Sutherland Shire.
