Reform Delayed, But 3Bridges Clients Benefit Now

The Australian Government has announced a revised start date for the Support at Home Program, now set to begin on 1 November 2025. This delay reflects the need for more preparation across the sector to ensure a smooth rollout for older Australians and service providers alike.

While many providers will use the extra time to catch up, 3Bridges has already been planning and acting for over a year and we are using this opportunity to go further for the people we support.

Leading with Reform-Ready Thinking

We recognise that the long-term intent of Support at Home is to give older Australians more choice and control by reducing administration costs and putting more funds directly into care and services. We are embracing that spirit now, not later.

Even though the reforms are delayed, we have already made changes to benefit the people we support:

  • Care Management fees will be capped at 10%
As previously announced, we will continue to align with the expected reform model early, reducing overhead so clients can make the most of their package funds.
  • Pricing for At Home Individual and Social Group services remains unchanged
We will be moving ahead with our announced pricing for At Home Individual and Social Group services as per our email sent May 30, 2025, with the exception of Allied Health services.
  • Reduction of Allied Health service fees
We have reduced our originally announced prices for Allied Health services, providing all clients access to more physiotherapy, podiatry, and other important supports through 3Bridges.

These benefits will go into effect on July 1, 2025. Please review the pricing list with updated Allied Health pricing.

Next Steps

As part of the process our team will be in contact with clients to discuss the signing of a new Service Level Agreement. We will arrange one-on-one conversations with all clients in the coming days to discuss further.

In addition to the one-on-one chats, we have a dedicated transition team available to take your questions or you can join one of our upcoming Q&A sessions (details to be announced).

In the meantime, if you would like to speak with someone, please do not hesitate to contact us at 02 8558 4093 or clientrelations@3bridges.org.au.

A Commitment to Acting Early and Responsibly

While many providers are waiting for official timelines, 3Bridges is focused on delivering value now. We are continuing to invest in the systems, workforce, and service models needed to provide high-quality, responsive support within the 3Bridges 360 model of care in a changing aged care environment.
