On 2nd April 2020, the Australian Government announced the new Early Childhood Education and Care Relief Package. Services can now waive gap fees for families due to the impact of COVID-19. Families will not be charged fees until the end of April, where the package will then be reviewed with the potential to continue to the end of the 2019-20 financial year. These payments will complement the JobKeeper Payment announced by the Prime Minister on 30 March 2020.
All our OSHC services continue to provide care for families & we want to highlight that Vacation Care for April is still going ahead.
We have large grounds at all of our centres for the children to play and be “physically” distant. We acknowledge that the government has been using the term social distancing, however we want to encourage the children to continue to be social, particularly during this time. Please rest assured we are still following the guidelines of social distancing.
We want to acknowledge the challenges of COVID-19 and want to reassure families that the safety, health and well-being of our children, families and staff are of the utmost importance and priority to 3Bridges. Risk controls are in place and updated in consultation with the Department of Education and Health. 3Bridges Management and Service Leaders want to assure you that we are doing everything we can to ensure that the children in our care and our Educators remain fit and healthy.
We want your support to make sure that you receive the best before and after school care for your children. We have put the following measures in place to keep us connected and safe:
- Term 2 2020 - All bookings will be reinstated and we will require a one week booking cancellation period for booking cancellations. Please refer to our Family Handbook. Click here
- We encourage all of our families to stay booked into care and utilise the additional allowable absences, which has now been increased to a total of 62 days per financial year without medical evidence.
We understand what a challenging time this is for our children. We have provided the following links to support the health and wellbeing of your family with some tips on how to talk to your children about COVID19.
