Abuse and neglect faced by older people

The Australian Institute of Family Studies defines Elder Abuse as a complex phenomenon that takes several shapes, including, psychological, physical, financial and sexual abuse and neglect. It is often a hidden form of neglect and abuse.

Early Childhood Education and Care Relief Package

On 2nd April 2020, the Australian Government announced the new Early Childhood Education and Care Relief Package. Services can now waive gap fees for families due to the impact of COVID-19. Families will not be charged fees until the end of April, where the package will then be reviewed with the potential to continue to  the end of the 2019-20 financial year. These payments will complement the JobKeeper Payment announced by the Prime Minister on 30 March 2020.
