Youth Zone
We are a no judgement Drop In Centre and service provider supporting local youth in our community.
Our Youth Centre provides a safe space for young people from 10-18 years to make new friends, build relationships, gain confidence, build resilience and aspiration.
There is a range of activities available such as pool, video games, a music area and chill-out room, just in case you want some quiet time. We believe hanging out with friends in a welcoming and positive environment is beneficial to our youth.
We provide 1:1 support through Case Management. If you want or need support, guidance or a willing ear to listen to you, our youth development team is on hand. You can be assured they will assist you with any issues in total confidence.
We also provide a range of services and support both in and out of school and in the local community.

Youth Zone
Tuesday | 3pm – 5pm for ages 10-13 yrs
Wednesday | 2:30pm – 5:30pm for ages 12- 18 yrs
Thursday | Friday 2:30pm – 7pm for ages 12-18 yrs
Youth Zone 1:1 Support
All 1:1 support is provided through referral process

Case Work
Intensive, strengths based case work to support Young People experiencing complex issues. Targeted interventions, harm minimization strategies, advocacy, referral services and work development orders are offered through this support.
Counselling
Counselling from a trauma informed, strengths based approach to support Young People and their wellbeing.
Complex Case Management
For Young People and their families who are experiencing economic disadvantage, social housing, as well as provision of support to Aboriginal communities.
Outreach Support
We provide regular contact with targeted members of the community who may be experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, unstable living arrangements or at risk of offending.
Youth Centre
A safe space to make new friends and build relationships with Youth Development Workers:

- Life skills such as cooking, health and wellbeing activities, resume writing and preparing for employment.
- Registered Condom Credit Card provider.
- Free Wifi, Chill out space, table tennis, gaming consoles, pool tables, musical instruments, more…
- We welcome group visits to provide an introduction to our services and create a connection for Young People who can access the youth centre.
Youth Zone School Based Programs

Drumbeat
A 10 week hand drumming program targeted at Young People to help them develop relationships using music, beliefs, emotions, attitudes and thoughts.
My Community Through My Eyes
A 6 week targeted program using photography to connect vulnerable Young People to the community. Sessions include identity, isolation and storytelling.
RAGE
A targeted 6 -7 week program focused on navigating anger and guilty emotions for Young People.
Own It!
A targeted 6 week program that challenges Young People to take charge of their lives, responsibility for their actions and ownership of their future. Sessions cover emotion regulation, healthy relationships, decision making, goal setting and identity acceptance.
Wellbeing Sessions
Targeted to meet identified needs from your school covering a range of topics including resilience, relationships, transitions and capacity building for Young People.

Cultural Competence Awareness Training
For parents/ caregivers, schools and community workers.
Student Wellbeing and Engagement Program
A tailored, flexible and adaptive support program for schools delivered through the placement of an experienced Youth Development Worker in your school. The program assists with increasing connection to community and other support services, 1:1 complex casework and the development and implementation of wellbeing initiatives to support staff and Young People.
Tuning Into Teens
An evidence based 6 week program for parents/ carers of Young People that is based on the concept of emotional intelligence and emotional coaching.
Tuning Into Kids
An evidence based program 6 week program that focuses on the emotional connection between parents/ caregivers and their children.
Youth Mental Health First Aid Training
A 2 day course and designed to teach parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, school staff, and peers about how to help Young People aged 12-18 at risk of or experiencing mental health concerns.
