Supporting you to care for a loved one

Carers support

Carers play an important role in our society

Taking on the role of a Carer is a big commitment, with the role often changing over time.

A Carer makes a significant difference in a person’s life but can regularly find themselves in situations that they may find confronting, frightening, challenging and saddening.

At 3Bridges we work alongside Carers providing support, sharing experiences and assisting with any challenges that may come up along the way.

We are here to share your joy, achievements, and to provide a pillar of support when it’s needed most by offering a range of services for all involved.

Carers Support Program

At 3Bridges we understand that caring for a child, parent, partner, or loved one can be both special and challenging. Whether you have new responsibilities or have been a carer for a while, we offer options for support, respite and connection with others who share similar experiences.

Carers

About our Respite Service

Services are provided according to carer’s needs, taking into account available resources. Each episode of respite is individually designed by the Carer and a Carers’ Support Program staff member.

  • Services can be booked by our Carers’ Support Support staff only.
  • Respite care is brokered through agencies, who provide us with a broad pool of trained staff with a range of skills and experiences, providing flexible options for our clients.
  • We work to match care staff with clients in terms of care needs as well as cultural and language requirements.
  • Respite care staff are not permitted to give their personal contact details to clients, or to arrange further service with clients.

Who is this service for?

We support the primary Carer of a person who has dementia, is frail aged, or has a disability aged over 65 years and who resides in South Eastern Sydney.

To access Respite, please contact My Aged Care on 1800 200 422 and request to be referred to 3Bridges. Alternatively please contact our Carer Support & Respite Team to talk you through the process.

Connect with other carers and together meet the challenges and share the rewards of caring.
